Woopi Brewing Co. recently teamed up with BrewDog to create this epic Japanese inspired Cold IPA. With the theme of "Beach. Mountains. Beer" that Woopi Brewing has, we researched 3 styles of artwork to sit inline with the slogan and be Japanese themed. So we did a recreation of Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai, "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" created in late 1831during the Edo period of Japanese history, an iconic wave that worked great for the Beach theme. For Mountains, we couldn't go past creating Mount Fuji as the middle feature along with the rising sun in the background and a Japanese Sakura (Cherry Blossom) to sit on the border of the label.
